I wouldn't write the new Supra off yet. If Toyota feels the car worthy of the Supra logo, we can expect it to be a pretty awesome machine. They have had plenty of time to plan it and get it right.

from the pics it kinda looks like a roadster, like the mr2. if we could get dimensions of the car i think it would help alot. i dont agree with that a supe needs an i6 to be a supe, i think as long as its designed to be strong and take anything thrown at it, like the 2jz, that it would be substantial. but i would say it would be sad to see it (i6) to go though, dont see too many of them.

It's just the supra has been I6 since day 1. Why change that now ? Even so, an n/a V8 with a racing cam ... and the mkIV is nothing like the mkIII, which does resemble the mkII ... but the nose is way to euro ... ferrari/skyline taillights ... compact ...
PS the first two pics Admin posted ? The white car and the green colored concept art in the one below it are the same car. That's significant

So I bought this old Honda bike, an NSR250. Bit of a street racer, I guess. I'm told they're fast. Delivering it home with a friend driving the Supra for the first time. I drop gears and make a scream from the twin pipes flowing down this pony's flanks and it takes off like it's tail's on fire. I look back when the Honda gets to its tap-out and the Supra's only two lengths behind. No one I've let ride my bike has told me its slow, they've all loved the thing. That car is a good thing indeed. Last edited by lethalwithasupra; 04-06-2006 at 10:43 AM. |

What happened to real sports cars that didn't care if the ride was uncomfortable or power windows didn't exist? Everything with power is all luxuried out now...someone needs to recapture what the 90's sports cars were all about and make a real car!
