Default Bucket list Supra items.

Now that Social Security money has started, I have a few bucks to blow on those bucket list items. The 1st ones are those bolt covers behind the passenger seat that always get lost. I got these off eBay but I think they're available from the dealer still. The other thing are those plugs that go on the Targa bolts. I remember seeing them at the parts yard and not knowing what they were for. I also picked a set of them up on eBay and discovered something interesting. The early Supras only had plugs for the front bolts as evidenced by the smaller plastic bag that would only accommodate the handle, the 6 mm Allen tool and 2 front plastic plugs. My 1987 manual only references plugging the front 2 bolts once the target is off. The diagram on the smaller bag confirms this. Later year Supras plugged the back as well as evidenced by the larger bag and the diagram description. I don't have the factory handle yet but I use something that works and also a 6 mm hand driver that is quicker than the ratchet. See photos. Something else I've seen done is modifying a 87-88 one piece spoiler to accommodate the 89-92 upper brake light. That would mean doing some surgery and fitting not to mention obtaining the brake light from a donor spoiler. I think it's a cleaner look than the original '87 rectangular light. The bucket list goes on.

3/1/19 I found a gray leather brake handle on eBay that only had 54K miles on the car. It looks and feels like new. Check out the sweetness.

Certainly not a bad plan you got there. I'm planning on getting a new set of fuel wheels just before February ends after I finish installing my suspension lift kit. I can't spend way more budget than I currently have because I have other priorities so I'm doing the modification little by little.
