Yeah, it wasnt hard to change it to manual. all the mounting pieces are there and so is the hole for the master cylinder. everything bolts right up. all you have to do is wire up the nuetral safety switch. you dont even have to change the ecu. it might throw a trans code, what ever you do dont leave the ect switch pluged in. that will send the code off. mine only threw a code a first and then it stopped after about 30 min. if you need anymore help im always happy to help.

With the transmission and all, do you know if W-58 and R-154 on an MKIII are interchangeable with each other and if there are any differences between the two like the final drive gear or the top speed they will allow?

the transmissions are interchangeable. the only thing that is different is the brackets that go from the block to the trans. i put the R134 on my non turbo motor. all the bolts line up all you need is the brackets. umm im not really too sure about the differences in the trans. i did 150mph and the rpms werent redlined. i know it will pin the speedo at 160 but im not sure what it will top out at.
