The oil pump seal is probably leaking. Not hard to change when t-belt is off.

Work backwards
Find the wire to the starter that is NOT the big one. Put a test light on it, and have someone try to start the car. If the light comes on, then your are getting power to the starter, so it is bad....

MTN roads
I drive a lot of mustangs at the shop, most are v6. They have lots of bottom end torque, so they holeshot very good.
But.....they are very sloppy on the curves. Set up the race on a very windy...
