ABOUT THE ecu ISSUE !
You can try a new ECU but to be honest I would check for a boost leak or injector seal. If it wont accelerate properly and its backfiring, could be a couple of things... bad fuel pump, faulty TPS or...

You know, its cool to lower the car but you want to avoid going to big on the wheels... 1 you lose power
2 it cuts your turning ratio
3 might want to get a camber kit

Definately go with Eibach ! Tein is too stiff !
You will be quite happy with the Eibach pro set ! works even better with Tokico HP struts.
Or if you have about $2000.... go with Megan Drift...

The first thing you want to do is find out exactly where the leak is !
Usually new gaskets and donuts will fix the problem.

Got the harness from NETAMI. they are just a universal set.
the harness bolts to the back 2 bolts on the bottom of the seats.
