Question
Does the shifter knob on a 89 Supra 5 speed screw off. I recently saw a really nice knob with a new boot, but it was a screw on nob.

When I had the new HG put in, the mechanic showed me what he pulled out, and there was a definite blowout between 5 and 6. The radiator really was shot, and like I said, the improvement is...

Wow, just got my car back from the shop with a new CSF Radiator, and man, what a difference. As I said earlier, when I did city driving or pushed it hard, when I got home I would hear gurggling...

One more thing,
Good advice from the above posts, but as for the red light in the tachometer staying on, the only thing I can think of is it is the cruise control light. On the left side of the steering wheel is a...

No expert, but
That does indeed look like an NA with a turbo kit. I can see the old distributor, which turbos do not have. Can anyone confirm this? Also, how does it perform? Are you happy with the way it runs? I'm...

Must Disagree
I also had the lower bolt of my thermostat housing break, but with a good sealant and the upper bolt tightened down, it held for about five months till I got to fix it. It never once leaked. I...

The oil on the plugs is probably from bad valve cover gaskets. You are going to have to take off the throttle body to replace them. It's not that difficult. Plus you'll be able to replace all your...

From experience
When I was in the service I had to drive in both Japan and Britain. RHD cars have the clutch on the left. And by the way, it is not as hard to get used to as you may think. I even had to drive LHD...

Of course there is no choke with EFI, but don't all those sensors acting in concert give you something that acts like a choke? Many of us older guys still think in those terms and just carry the...

How to post pics
There was a post called "NEED SUSPENSION HELP". It sounded like a problem many of us run into when we make a tight turn, which is the plastic cap falling off the steering bump stop. I have an...

Popping sound
It is produced by bare metal hitting the "stop knucle" which had a plastic cap on it that has worn off. Somehwhere on this site is a beautiful picture of just what is happening. This is a common...
