Default Some questions about my 1988 Supra...

I just recently got my first car, an 88 N/A, but sadly that is pretty much all I know about the car. I got the car about two months ago and it has some kinks that I need to work out, so I was wondering if you guys (and gals?) could help a newbie out with some of these pending questions I have about my Supra. I've tried doing searches on some of these things but couldn't find any answers so here they are...

1. This probably bugs me the most, when the car is idle and I rev the engine I hear a gurgling sound behind the dashboard, I hadn't noticed it before but I do now, so I'm clueless w/ regards to that.

2.My headlight switch is super sensitive and always switches to hi-beam setting, so I find myself constantly toggling between both. Simply putting my directional signal will set the hi-beam on.

3. The Gas Pedal has a lot of free play, if I'm not being super cautious I take off after every stop, it can be a real pain when I'm trying to parallel park too. So should I just replace it with another one or is there a way of repairing it? (My car is automatic btw)

As of now that's all I got, might come back with some more questions later, but any advice offered would be greatly appreciated. I want to keep my Supra in tip-top condition as I'm sure most of you do too, so again if you could be of any help it would be awesome! Thanks!

Thanks for the info dannydavi! Will get to it ASAP. And ddmcse what exactly do you mean by "Another One Bites the Dust"? Are you trying to say my car is fucked or what? If so, how? Please be less ambigous and little more detailed your posts.

Sometimes gurgling behind the dash means BHG. That's what he meant. I also have the same problem with the headlight switch. It never bothered me enough to actually find out why it's doing it though. Sorry.

I see...Well the headlight switch doesn't bother me all too much either, but I'm sure it probably bothers other drivers, I just don't want to be that dick with the blaring hi-beams. Also, the fog lights don't work unless you have the lo-beams on, well at least on my car. So thanks man!

Default my 2 cents

I don't really like the high beam set up myself but I don't think it's something you can fix, just gotta learn to live with it. And when they do come on I practically have to stand in my seat to see if the blue light is on. Just a crappy design flaw, that's all.

if it bothers you so much, can always swap out the assembly for a less sentive one...

I wouldn't even know where to start when swapping out the assembly, but I'll try and go to a junkyard and get the piece and get a general feel for what goes where when I dismantle it...So yeah, thanks for the input! And I've got one more question...
