They turned out to be 14 X 1.25 pitch. fairly hard to find, had to go to 2 different fastener warehouses. needed a 70 & an 80 mmm - 2 of each.

Problem was timing, apparently i had missed by a tooth or 2 on the distributor. once got that fixed, it fired right up, and reved great. To start with, then more / different...

Coming out of the wiring harness, by the thermostat housing, is a spade connector, it is heavily wrapped in insulated protection, so i assume it must go to, or be routed by the exhaust...

so coming out of the block is a stud, maybe 1,75 inches long, 3 inches below and slightly forward of the oil filter. I have no idea what it is for, anyone help me out?
