Thanks guys,
I will pull the plug and fill away, i believe it is 2.2 liters correct? Don't want to redrop the transmission, just finished putting it back in and mounting up the drive shaft, so lets hope the plug comes out. |

W58 = 2.5 US Qt. or 2.1 Imperial Qt. <---DRY FILL! Unless you're had this transmission apart it may retain a fair amount of the existing gear oil. Do not fill according to these specs, fill it to the level of the fill hole.

got it cre,
just wanted to know about where I was at. i just filled it till it started coming out the hole, then waited till it slowed to a trickle, in case it took time for it to work down, then plugged it up, should be good to go, thanks for all of the help. |

There will be some cavities which won't fill completely the first time. Nothing of any significant volume from what I recall. You could always check it after a couple drives.
