there weren't any turbo models in 85 or earlier(US models). gears between models can be switched, however some came with lsd's and some didnt. there should be a tag on the rear end, which has a code...

i have slotted and drilled. haven't cracked and work great. a few of my friends have the same brand on thier cars and haven't had a problem. as long as you break them in properly, they wont crack.

the 318 isnt bad and would definitely be nice to see in a supra. i'd say quite a bit off modifying and i'd worry most about the headers fitting once the motor is in.
