Default Trouble starting?

Over the past couple of days my supra has had some troubles starting, ive got an 87 turbo and it will turn over for a long time then it will eventually catch and sounds like its going to die, then it will fire up and be fine for the rest of the day usually, its just starting it up cold that it doesnt like. any suggestions on what it could be or tests to do? something need replacing?

thanks

I've got an 87 Supra and I've been having basically the same problem...it turns over, but it won't start. Sometimes if I let it sit for a few days it will start again. My spark plugs have never been replaced so I was thinking that might be the culprit...I could only get to about four of them, but the closest to the front of the engine was pretty gunked up. Cleaned them up and I tested them and they still spark...

You got a better description of what the cold start plug looks like? Or will I know it when I see it? I'll give it a try.

i believe ya'll are talking about the cold start injector. on the 7mgte it is located on the upper intake plenum. if you stand by the driver side fender, in between intake runners 3 & 4 will be the cold start injector. it takes 2 screws, a single clip connector and has an attachment to the fuel rail.
