Yep.
If your car is 89-92, you're lucky and the motor will fit in the stock motor mounts.
I have an 88 car, but I bought two brackets from BIC Performance, and I was able to drop my motor beautifully....

I went for cheap KYB GR-2 shocks (obviously non-tems) and Eibach Pro Kit springs. Car looks great, and handles great :) I have never tried TEMS, so I don't know if it's worth it.

I think the 1G uses the same tranny as the 7M-GE... so if you go 7M-GTE you'll need the turbo tranny.
