Compression test on all cylinders was between 160-170, that's why I was discounting the rings. Definately could be a crack in the head though. Anyone have any other thoughts?

I am also in the process of rebuilding my CT26. The nut you are refering to can be taken off with a 3/8 socket. You just have to tap it on there lightly. My turbo rebuild kit came with a new nut....

Well, let's raise the average a little more!! I'm 48 and bought my 89T new. Ive had it longer than most of you are old!!! I love it.... wouldn't have any thing else.

It cranks/turns over but will not start......we have fuel, air but no spark. We thought it was the igniter(ohm it all out as per TSRM and all signs pointed to it) changed it and still have no spark....

I have a 1989 w/7Mgte turbo motor. I just re worked the whole motor about 18.000 miles ago....complete overhaul including head rework. (stock head gasket new bolts but only torqued to 58 ft lbs)...
