Default Oil in Water?

Ok...I understand how water gets in the oil. (BHG) but where can I be getting oil in to the radiator/overflow bottle/cooling system?

If water can get into oil, oil can get into water. You may have enough blowby or a clogged pcv causeing you to push crankcase vapors and stuff into the water instead of the opposite

This is not correct information. It could not happen.

But, the only way oil can get into the coolant is from a tiny hole in the head gasket, or a crack in the head or block.

If the car had an automatic trans (which his does not), then tranny fluid (oil) could get in thru the trans oil cooler that is built into the radiator.

On some engines (but I don't believe the 7M), it could have a hole or crack in the back side of the water pump housing, that has oil on the other side.

I just got thru doing a complete overhaul on the motor, metal headgasket, ARP studs, torqued to 82ftlbs. I started with a different (to me and my Supra, JDM motor) so I don't know any history on the engine. It seems to me if the block was cracked I would also get water in my oil. Not so. The head I had reworked at a machine shop. Good reputation but deals mostly with American made.(Here in Memphis not to many machine shops who specilize in foreign cars) Where in the head could I be getting oil in a coolant passage? I also get oil smoke in my exhaust after the car warms up and is driven a little. (mostly when I sit idleing at a red light and then start to go , there is a pretty good puff of blue smoke) Never smokes at all in the morning when I first start her up. (IE: rings or valve seals.) I had a great machine lapped finish on both the head and the block when installing the new headgasket. (I've been thru this headgasket thing a couple of times before discovering you guys here on the forums, and all the wealth of info that's available) I really think it is something in the head, but I have a hard time visualizing where and how? Any one have any other thoughts?

Rings could definately cause that, doesnt rule it out cause it doesnt smoke on startup, rings dont cause that kind of consumption. If you smoke on decell it could be valve seals, might not show on startup but could still be a possibilty.

Compression test on all cylinders was between 160-170, that's why I was discounting the rings. Definately could be a crack in the head though. Anyone have any other thoughts?
