My aunt has a transmission done there (Firestone) and eventually had to have it replaced. You will always be better off learning how to do the work yourself. I did. Contact your insurance company...

Make sure you unlock the door before you start the car. Every once in a while the security on my car will do the same. The other option is the neutral safety switch. Just some ideas.
