i love this quote from the show top gear, from england about the srt-10 viper. "the engine is an 8 litre v10, and it produces around 500hp. give the brits that displacement, and they'd walk past 500hp." the brits produce that power from half the engine capacity and less cylinders. all american car makers do is throw displacement at an engine to solve the fact that they can't really build engines. i mean come on, the viper engine is a 20v twin cam. the levins from japan have that in a 1600! you may say that stock for stock a camaro or whatever will beat a supra, and sure, they probably will, but thats cause the supras are limited in power by an agreement between japanese car manufactures to around 280hp. american motors come from the shop with 3-400+. spend $5000 on a supra and the same on a comaro, and i'm sorry, but the comaro will be left sitting there wondering wtf just happened.
