The 35th ann. camaro has 385 horse and the z06 has 405 or more from the factory. Thats a joke? How much money would u have to spend just to get to 400 horse with ur turbo 6. Then spend the same amount of money u just spent to get 400 on an ls1. What would hppn? Supra getting beat.

actually to get 400 horse out of supra is very cheap, i read an article where they were having a comp between a bunch of cars, and they all were modified, and the supra only did an exhaust system, and a new k&n air filter setup i believe it was, i gotta try to find the article again, i'll correct myself if i am wrong, but i know they barely spent anything and made 400 hp

okay stock to stock ls1 vs 2jzgte. supra is down 10hp but gets better gas mileage and doesnt tell everyone where you are or what your doing.
if its stock to stock why would an ls1 have a turbo? besides, ls1s have better than older 350 heads but still dont have the flow characteristics they need for a turbo. barry grant however is coming out with a cure, 3 valve aluminum head.
are you so willing to throw away your precious ls1 away for an ls7 so quickly? ls1 have potential if you know how to use it, same as supra engines.
so, when you grow up and can challenge me face 2 face(seriously) your a waste of time...besides you cant beLIEve everything you read in magazines.

for my car to get 400hp to the wheels-
car purchase 3000$
upgraded turbo assy 1100$
head gasket 150$
clutch 400$ <--- already done...thank god!
intercooler kit 700$
secret goodie bag 300$

total 5600$

how much for an ls1 330 hp t/a, firebird, camaro 16k. i should know, i was going to get an 02 z28 ss. wonderful car. b@st@rd insurance companies. theres a big price difference.

He still doesn't understand that if you put a toyota made v8 350 against a chevy made v8 350, toyota would get more out of it.

Im by far no V8 fan though the stock ls1 engines in Australia do 380hp, from holden (aka gm). Though power is quickly demolished by weight (around 1700 kgs). Though the new ls2 that just came out has about 400hp, and the weight stays around the same to give an all 5.1 sec 0-60mph in auto

and the ls7 is 500hp as i've said in my last post, and in the new corvette thats 4.2sec to 60mph <_<

Toyota does make a v8, the 4.7. And fords 4.6 makes more power than it.

ok, this is one of those arguments that will never end, why don't we just leave it as that both cars do have their strengths and weaknesses in different areas, and leave it as that. otherwise this will just continue into childish bickering, which it's looking like it already is starting to. so how about the v8 boys stop with the insults, and we'll stop with the provoking. sure a bit of harmless poking fun is fine, but things do have their limits.
