EGR is a must. All vacuum lines in place, and not plugged. If you change things, try to make it look really good, like for a car show. Cap off unused vacuum ports, no loose wire connectors, hoses etc. A GOOD smog tech will know what he's looking at/for. A lazy or stupid one won't. It's a $10k fine for the shop if the tech gets caught cheating. The CARB does undercover sting operations everyday, somewhere in the state.

here i ntexas i have a guy who will bascilly isepct anythign lol i dont even have a cat but it go in spected and passed with a brokend lugnut lol he dont care we r bascilly rednecks who have trucks that barly run
