One possible cause could be that you have no impellor blades on your water pump! As I found out on one of my supras which previously had a few BHG `s The coolant becomes acidic/corrosive when mixed with combustion gases and etches away the impellor blades. The cost of new Toyota water pump is about $200 but you can get a new Aftermarket pump for $70 . Many supra owners in the UK use this company https://www.sapmotorparts.com but you should be able to find one similar in US. Below is a pic of a Toyota pump and an aftermarket one, as you can see the Toyota one has thin pressed-steel blades and the aftermarket one has thicker cast blades.
