If you top the fluid off every 6 weeks you definately have a leak. Thats your problem. The Toyota manual transmissions are renowned for their syncros basically you are not disengaging the clutch enough and the syncros are doing the rest.

The Master tells the slave what to do, think of it that way. So the master cylinder is on the firewall, the slave is on the transmission.
