thats normal... all my toyota\'s do that

dcrusupra 06-28-2006 01:50 AM

Could be the upper or lower balljoints.

Left turn SNAP

I too hear a PoP when i turn the wheel hard to the left on my current Supra. I had a Chevy with this same scenario and it was the Upper Control Arm Bushing. They are made with a hard rubber that deteriorates over time, so you get metal to metal contact, which causes the pop. I found the part but realized it was very difficult to install and brought it to a mechanic.

Sorry for bringing back an old thread but you are wrong it is not so much normal as it is typical for toyota. This indicates a problem with your CV boots/joints. If it just started and isnt severe you might get lucky and only have to replace the boots. If not you\'ll have to replace the CV joints.
