Just get a new thermostat AND a seal (reusing the old seal always leaked for me). Thermostats are supposed to be replaced every 2-4 years.
And don't over tighten the bolts.

Okay, Mr.Nickleye, I will replace my thermostat. Does it matter where I buy it. Toyota wants $25 for the thermostat and seal. I'm sure Autozone will be much cheaper, but will I be getting my moneys worth? Should I stick with the Toyota Parts or go after market? One more thing, do I need to use a sealer of any type like silicone or something?
Thanks, Scruffboy |
