If there is a bunch of oil down those sparkplug boot holes, it can ground out the spark, thus not let the plug fire.
I took some old pillow cases (because they are thin material) an a screwdriver and 'mopped' up the oil. That way it all did not go into the cylinder when i removed the plugs. A new set of wires is about $100 at carquest. You may just need to remove them and clean them with brake cleaner spray. VC gaskets is why oil gets in the holes. The center gasket is a dealer item for approx $40. it is not mandatory that you replace it, as it is there to keep debri out.

Threaded Mode
