Well im thinking of purchasing a 1987 toyota supra, targa top, non turbo. Its had some bodywork done to it, and needs some paint. 220,000km on the vehicle. I want to ask some suggestions for, what to look at and what little things i should look at that specifically affect the mk3. I know that the head haskets blow easily if they arnt tightened properly. 72lb.ft is where it should be.. let me know. thanks. BTW im in Canada.

Damn, that sux... :P J/K

Anyway, with >200K miles, I'd pass, 'specially on an NA. Unless you just want the shell for an engine swap. These cars go for about $3 grand with 100k miles or so.

Yea, I bought an NA, but it had 98k and only cost $1000 usd. Can't find a better deal than that. Found a Turbo engine for $799. Now, where'd I put that torque wrench...

Remeber guys the car has 220k Kilometers in miles that like means it has about 136k miles guys......as well do upgrade the head gasket.....they are biotchs if you don't....i would pay more than probably 2500 USD even if it is MINT now....i would recomend finding a turbo too get an HKS metal Headgasket and some ARP head bolts it will cost you probably roud 210 USD- 250USD and tighten those bolts to about 82 ft lbs
