this is correct . you need both upgrades to avoid possible leaning out .
the supra runs rich by nature but you could be pushing it fuel actually lubricates the engine, you should get an Air/Fuel meter installed to measure while running

I purchased this car about 2 years ago off a man that had won many supra shows with this car. It has a spirco inter cooler, fluidine radiator, HKS super dragger exaust, seqential blow off, HKS electronic valve controler( which is hooked up in the dash but i've never used), HKS open green foam air cleaner, full roll cage, teckico suspension. All these mods yet a stock motor that he sais was put in the car 30,000 miles ago. The car has 190,000 and is like brand new. What can I do to pull a few ponies out of it. Should I install the Lexus MAF and see what happens with the air flow mixture? The intake on yours looks different from mine. Do you still use the MAF. And where can I send my turbo out to get done up right?? Please let me know what you can, I see you have many years with these great cars.. Thanks

take your time , do not rush
research research research i would not use the lexus AFM without the injectors especially without an Air/Fuel meter at this point with your cars i would get it to a dyno so you get some kind of base line numbers to compare with down the road are you hitting fuel cut off now ? i used majestic turbos and really liked the job they did in 1 day turn around time i think it cost me about $600 mine is for sale now http://www.toyota-supra.info/forums/...html#post60516

wait a minute. YOU DO NOT CLEAN THE MAF. everytime i hear someone say they cleaned the maf it is followed by 'my car wont start'. you will probably need to replace the sensor. the lexus upgrade is possible because it uses the same electronics, but it is 25% larger, allowing 25% more air. to balance the fuel mixture, larger injectors are used, specificly 550's because they are 25% larger then the stock 440's. replace the sensor and your car should be fine, or get the lexus maf, 550's and a wideband gauge to moniter your a/f's.
