Default 86.5 Manual non-turbo will not start!!

This is the second time in a month this has happened. I get in the car turn the key and nothing. All the lights come on, radio comes on but there is no crank or anything. I've tried to arm and then disarm the factory alarm but still nothing. Anyone have any ideas?

Default transmission switch

Try putting it in neutral and then starting, could be a switch on your transmission. I had a similar problem on my mazda protege.

Default It's a manual trans

It's a manual transmission so I've tried that. Even tried putting it in gear to start it.

Default

Do you hear a click? If so, the starter is bad, and needs to be replaced. If not, check the clutch safety switch. There is a switch on the clutch that is supposed to keep the starter from engaging when the clutch is out. You are pressing the clutch in all the way, right?

Default Maf?

Could the MAF come loose? This will prevent it from turning over.

Default Started

It turned out to be a wire that came out of the alarm, so I reconnected it in the morning and it fired up fine. Going to get the schematics for the factory alarm and just bypass it all together
