put in another gauge
for ten yrs my stock gauge has been whacked ..i've replaced every sensor related to the temp over time and nothing has fixed the gauge . pulling the instrument cluster off sounds like great fun but it's not going to happen today .. you'll find a nice spot to add a gauge ..just past the turbo on the block .i forget exactly what is there ,,you'll see it and realize that if you remove this coolant outlet you can put the sender unit from the new gauge ( make sure the sender is not too long as it will screw right into the block and touch the internal walls .you shoudl be able to get at it from under the car without removing the turbo you can feed the gauge line/wire through the firewall where the wiring harness goes through
