For what it's worth, you should be able to pick up a getrag v160 6spd for about $2k if you shop around. Imho $2k for a 6spd tranny that will hold 1500rwhp is a great deal... *shrug*

T-56 was in the viper,camaro,trans am,corvette and last but not least the 99+ cobras for sure. I was looking into this my self, cause they are stoped making Getrag 6 speeds i heard and there is no lack of parts for a T-56. Let me know how it gos.
