Question about 1994+ supra

All of that depends a LOT on the turbo itself and it's dimensions. You tune a turbo to when you want the power to kick in. The main reason people go to a single turbo it seems is quite simple....cost. One turbo is far cheaper than 2, going fast on the cheap is usually what people are after.

As it was said, the twins will spool faster, getting the power faster. Also, it's a lot smoother, and has a flatter power band with far less peaking than a single turbo. That can be tuned a lot by the sizing of the turbo components, most good places will ask the simple questions, when do you want it to kick in, how much total boost, how will it be driven, ect.

Sidenote: ball bearing turbos give no power gain, they just spool faster leading to better 1/4 mile times because the boost comes in faster.
