Just curious - do you hear the motor trying to work if you try to make it move forward? This may indicate whether or not the motor itself is still working (i.e. perhaps the problem is not with the motor). For example, the problem might (in theory) be the switch that indicates the seat is in the fully-back position. If that sensor has failed in the closed position, it could cause the rearward position of the seat forward/back switch to not work. That sensor, even brand new from Toyota, is likely quite inexpensive...if you're really lucky, perhaps this is the issue.
