Regarding the overall project, personally I'd recommend skipping it. Not only would it be a LOT of work, it sounds like you really want to end up with an mkiv that has the power, handling, braking, etc. of a TT. If that's the case, then that's what you need to buy, imho. The n/a is significantly inferior in many ways (see the numerous other threads on this topic).
