An SZ-R is a "supra MKIV" BUT not all "supra MKIV"s are SZ-Rs. The SZ-R is only non-turbo ("n/a"=normally aspirated), with a manual transmission. In other words, there are automatic MKIVs and turbo MKIVs that are not SZ-Rs... The term "MKIV" (Mark-'IV'=Four) refers to all Supras (turbo or non-turbo, auto, 5spd, or 6spd) with the 4th generation body style, which is Toyota chassis code "jza80".

About 99.9+% of the time, private help requests end up covering great information that could be very valuable to other forum members. If you have a good reason for needing the help request to be private, I'll consider it. If not, then why not give everyone else the opportunity to pitch in too, and/or learn from the information? Remember, there's no such thing as a dumb question. We're all here to help within this family of Supra owners. Last edited by pwpanas; 08-31-2006 at 11:28 AM. |
