nope havent done that yet. the guage itself will shoot up to HOT then drop back down to the middle. recently i was in the midde of swapping my gauges andi took the car out for a spin bcuz i had that mysterious oil on the plug problem so i was checking to see if it stall ran, and it did but it felt really hot, yet again, i used to drive a 93 lumina so it could be the turbo throwing me off

U said it shoots up to hot
When does it do it? Right when you start the car? If it does how long does it stay up there And when does it go down to the middle I'm thinking it could be the gauge itself Since its 20yrs old, and the stock gauges Are somewhat inaccurate, I would get a autometer water temp gauge If I was you, Or it could as be the sending unit itself, But if you're gonna change that, Might as well change the gauge with an aftermarket one too
