Default civic vs supra..

hello!I own a civic 93 with a swaped motor to 1.6 and the usual bolts'on it make 154cv that is pritty good for a egg,but i'm done with ff cars i want a SUPRA!!!
I frend of mine is rebuilding one that is for sale,it's a7m n/a engine totaly restored with all new internals and i'm realy thinking in purchasing it!?!
I know that YOU are suspicious to tell me how good is the car but i want some feed back of supras mk3 n/a owners!
I haven't ride the "beast" yet because it isn't reddy now!
is it faster then my civic?
does the 200cv stock can push well all that weight?
i love the fact that its TARGA!

He did post in English... look where he's from. Try to be a little forgiving.

The N/A is a fairly quick ride, but the Civic would probably beat it easily from a dead stop. Get the car rolling and I'd probably favor the N/A Supra over an older Civic.

Yes, the car is heavy... Very heavy. It's got enough power once the car is moving, but don't expect it to be a race car when it's still all stock.

I have owned an na since october and liked it somewhat at first. I liked the prestige of the car, but after a little bit i realized just how slow it was. Thats why i bought a turbo on the 19'th of this month. All i have to say it go turbo or go home. I have not drivin a stock turbo but i can say that my slightly modded turbo is sooo much better.
If your looking for speed just wait and get a turbo because you will be disappointed with an NA.

Random specs of my NA
1/4 mile time 15.89 at 87 with a 2.37 60 foot.
0-60 in 8.4 sec

i say get it! then swap it out for a 7mgte or 1jzgte. a targa top is hard to pass up, you'll turn heads with it off

damn that nice so he rebuilt the N/A engine did he prep the head gasket right and if you end up buying it make sure he does prep it right or you will end up redoing it....I have a targa and it owns buh body flexes alot you can fix it by stiffing up the frame though....The car is heavey as hell trust me i have a Turbo and it still feels heavey

thing about mk3's n/a.. they're not very fast stock, fun yes but still slow. mine is bone stock and runs 17.3's in the 1/4 LOL. but im not worried about the speed i just like the car. also parts for these cars are rather difficult and expensive. if you like the car for what it is and not overly concered with how fast it is.. I say go with it.. they're fun cars in my opinion, I love mine.
