by the way i also live in long beach you've probably seen me driving around in an 89 white t-top with flat black rims, sadly my car is an NA automatic |

88T did you fully warm up the car and bridge the T and E terminals at the diagnostic connector and then started the motor and checked the timing? Make sure you are setting base ignition timing without the ECU's electronic advance.
Run a compression test. I would if my engine started lacking power for no good reason except flooring it everywhere. My cars idle is iffy. I can get it to idle at 650 only after driving it for a while with multiple trips. Any other time it idles around 800, probably because it isn't up to full operating temp. Thats why you must fully warm up the car before setting the base ignition timing. Last edited by IHateHacks; 06-05-2007 at 09:22 PM. |
