A70 (wide body) supras have a offset of 44. factory wheels are 16x7.
A80 supras have a offset of 50 and come from factory in the following configs. 16x8 16x9 17x9 17x9.5 all A80 wheels are a bad idea on a A70 as the offset is different and even the thinnest A80 wheel is still 1" wider than the A70 wheel. however a 5mm spacer on the front of a A70 will allow you to run A80 16x8 all round. dont even think about fitting A80 16x9's to any corner of your A70 unless you plan on putting a overlander kit through it. using a 17" wheel with a closer offset to 44 as possible will allow you to run wider rim than 8" but the best method is to have them fitted to the car and go for a drive including hard turns and full lock steering to make sure of clearances. enjoy
