replacing speedo cable

not to poke and prod but why are you replacing your spedo cable? and if you do need to change it do you know which part of the speedo cable you need to change? there is different parts to the speedo cable and if it is just the short one that is really easy to fix just unscrew it but if it is the long piece you will have to dissconect it from the tranny then pull it through the firewall but while inside the cabin under your seering wheel because its just easier that way well it was for me and rememnber to use like a screwdriver to wrench out that blasted rubber part in the firewall hope that helps
