Default sub oxygen sensor

i replaced my oxygen sensor, and my gas mileage improved a hell of a lot. i also have a sub oxygen sensor, but the tsrm says dont mess with it unless you get error code 27. should i inspect it anyway?

also, if i was to remove my cat, how would that affect the sub oxygen sensor and/or ecu?

If you have a sub O2 sensor and you remove the cat, it will definatly throw a code. They sell something called an O2 simulator that is specifically designed for cars that have a sub O2 and a test-pipe. It replaces the sub O2 and plugs into the harness. I don't know if they sell them for Mk3 supras though.
