Speedo question!!

Does anyone know which part of the sppedo cable goes? It went the other and the engine light came on. Are these two related or is there something else wrong?

there is a joint in the speedo cable coming from the gear box, just wondering which section of it goes. should the engine maintenence light come on when the speedo stops working? mk3 2.5 twin turbo.

no the light wont come on if the speedo breaks.

and there are three parts of the cable, you have to find which is broke, and replace it

my speedo doesnt work either, and my engine light comes on, but its from a malfunctioning egr (code 71). do a search on how to do the diagnostic. very easy, all you need is a little piece of wire.

the speedo is a common problem in these mk3s, ive had two of them and both of them had the speedos go down the crapper. theres instructions on supras.com in the mk3 section on how to repair the speedo cable.
