there are two knock sensors on your block
they are located on the intake side
one is between about #2 & #3 cylinder, if you stick your arm under there (when it's cold) you'll be able to feel it
the other one is about #5 & #6 right before the starter motor

more than likely you have a broken wire and you just need to repair it

did you replace both knock sensors?

if not ,replace the other one. also make sure the wiring is not broken and that they have good contact.

yes both knock sensors need to have wires coming out of them... if they don't then they won't work

ok well i dont have any wire going to the one next to the firewall, so do you have schematic on it or a pic on where the wire goes and comes from.

i don't know of a pic offhand

but try looking under your intake manifold where your plugs go to your starter, transmission/manual wires and you should see another wire thats sorta seethrough, that should be connected to your knock sensor, more than likely it's broken off at the rubber bung

there is a tech tip on the sogi website for repairing knock sensors

maybe someone knows the link offhand
