Lock up torque converter should work like this:
With tranny botton in 'normal' under a mild acceleration, it should be in OD (4th gear) by 42mph, and lock up by 45mph. In 'sport' mode, the speeds will be higher, as it holds each gear's shift points up higher in the rpm. But lockup should be engaged as soon as you level off to cruising speed. In either position, If you are out of OD (in 3rd gear), lockup will happen at approx. 70mph. It will NOT lockup in 1st or 2nd gear.
