Im not worried about fuel cut since I don't plan on going any more than 11 or 12 psi for quite a long while, if ever. Don't push what too hard? The psi or the engine? And what is an FCD?

Im going to stop at 11-12 psi, full exhaust, intake, electric fan, and upper IC pipe + BoV. Of course ill do the safc thing and maybe FCD (once I figure out what it is =D) and alot of other minor things. Don't really want to go with bigger injectors and lexus AFM for awhile though. I should be okay, right? Once im done with those mods im going to be working on my suspension as currently my car sways like a boat.

The fuel system will be fine untill you hit fuel cut(11-12+, dependant on ambient conditions), and the stock ct26 can take about 12 or 13 psi.
thats what i really wanted to know
i jus dont wanna run way too lean and have the same result the second time

but i'll probly stick to boostin at about 11 psi then so it'll be safe

youll hit fuel cut at 11 psi on hot days.

Doesn't it depend on each individual car? Like doesnt it vary from supra to supra a tiny bit?

Isphius 09-15-2006 05:24 PM

Yes, it varies by car, temperature, humidity, how hot the car is, how dirty your intercooler is, etc. But at 11 psi, if its pretty warm (>80) pretty good chance that youll hit fuel cut.

Reeves...I'm going the other way. Did the suspension first, will go for more power next so I'll trade ideas and experience.

I just installed TEIN Flex coilovers. Had the car on track after TEIN last week. HUGE improvement in body roll and handling. These TEIN are very adjustable so you can really dial in your set-up. (I will be putting on proper rubber before next track day, probably Toyo RA1's but open to suggestions)

If you get the TEIN let me know before you install and I'll share a few tips.

Also...while I was on track my car got very very hot after about 6 to 8 hot laps. (it was about 95 out) I have a recent new head gasket so I don't expect leaks there. Any suggestions anyone?

ok then , jus 10 psi during the summertime

what about the wintertime, when its 20 degrees outside?

Isphius 09-16-2006 08:28 AM

i would still say keep it under 11 till you get some elctronics upgrades. FCD, lex/550s, etc. whatever you want!

Isphius 09-16-2006 10:25 PM
