wuz up guyz, i`swaped engines.`i got the car with a cressida engine 7-MGTE when i had just bought it. well the i got a 7mgte from my cousins wrecked mk3 and put it on mines. well i cant start the car, the selenoid hits but not enough to make the starter move the engine. so i just got a cable and put it straight from the selenoid to the + of the battery and it started like that perfect. but i cant start it with tghe switch. could it be the cable that goes from the selenoid to the ignition switch? also the back and the side lights dont turn off only when i disconect the batt.. i want to drive my baby before i sell it... P.S. its gona be for sale when im done..

well it's fairly obvious there is a break in the wire from your starter to ignition.. but i'm not sure where it would be... could be anywhere....
i'll see if i can find a rewire for you that would help fix this prob

you can run a direct hot wire to inside the car from the starter and use a push button switch. you can give it an updated style with an illuminated starter button. as for the side and back lights, it sounds like the wiring has shorted or the switch.

i had to do that to an 80s camaro. the car has a screwy way of starting. so i ran a bypass wire and single push hot switch. it was pretty neat, turn the key and push the button...
