The race is gonna be tomorrow and i already agreed to bet $30 on it can i still beat him?

For $30 have fun, but it seems an odd amount to bet and on two non pressure charged cars. But you should get him with just the fluid start and changes they do ( none intended, but it sounds like you're both a bit on the shy side of experianced so he wont make many good shifts. After he's leveled up it'll be closer )

I work at a landfill, we have a certified and once monthly checked scale here. It's accurate within 20 lbs. I own two MKIII's, and my 5 spd weighed 3700lbs, and my red 88 weighed 3680lbs. I would put money that because he is lighter....he may take you off the line.

Wow who would have thought the 3000GT was that much lighter. I don't understand it we always call them fat pigs but actually their the lighter ones.

He also said that he has been taking it easy on the launches because he doesn't want to break something so that could give me an advantage.

How are you suppose to launch it just like power-brake it or just floor it as soon as you get the signal?

why do all your supras weigh so much mines down to around 3000lbs right now.

stop thinking negative.. supra's will prevail

i really dont see him beating you honestly.. supras are quick, even when there n/a. and i really dont think putting on exhaust,intake and a clutch is going to shave 1.2 seconds off in the 1/4 mile to keep up with the supra.maybe he will even miss a gear!! and how fast are you racing up to? let us know when you win.

we will probably just do like a 0-100 maybe a little more. I really don't know i think it will be close.

I did a little reading, The 3g has at least 222 hp. or 218 if its 97+. Thats a slight bit more than the 7mge. But i rode in a 95 3g, an auto, And there was no way it would beat any supra. It was slow as hell. Im not sure about the manual one thou. Just race him, and if you lose, spend a little money and race him again. If you have a radar detector, If he starts winning, slam on your brakes and turn/get in the right lane (whatever) and he will probably do the same. tell him you got some radar

After he's leveled up it'll be closer ) __________________ So I bought this old Honda bike, an NSR250. Bit of a street racer, I guess. I'm told they're fast. Delivering it home with a friend driving the Supra for the first time. I drop gears and make a scream from the twin pipes flowing down this pony's flanks and it takes off like it's tail's on fire. I look back when the Honda gets to its tap-out and the Supra's only two lengths behind. No one I've let ride my bike has told me its slow, they've all loved the thing. That car is a good thing indeed.
