go and adjust the switch so that the pedal is always resting on it when you aren't braking

just follow the brake pedal stalk up into the dash till you find a two pin plug which is on a round shaped switch which should be directly on the pedal stalk, you'll find it

Ok well I just checked that out, In the rain, with a flashlight and umbrella, cause i was bored, and the switch looks fine. It goes all the way in when the brake is resting.
![]() Any other ideas? or how much is the switch to replace..It might just be bad. If worst comes to worst i can put a switch on and remember to flip it for the ride. Im not at my own house right now, So i have no kinda tools except a screw driver and pliers . I dont even have my trust voltmeter with no more case. Its just a circuit board with a dial, LCD, and wires.

Check to see if the rubber piece on the pedal where the switch is. If theres a hole where the button on the switch is, then it fell out. Thats what happened to me. The little rubber piece fell out and I didnt realize. So i went out and bought a new switch. They are cheap from what I remember. But I dont remember the exact price. Somewhere around $15.
P.s. - Pray its not the switch. Its an absolute pain in the ass to adjust. Your ribs start hurting from laying on the door sill and you hands will start to hurt. Overall its not fun. Good luck lol. Last edited by dcrusupra; 07-19-2006 at 03:35 AM. |
