I have a 1989 mk3 with a BHG. i also have a 7m-gte fully rebuilt but from an automatic. i was wondering being the car with the BHG was standard, would the auto engine work with the standard tranny or if i would have to modify the tranny. i'm fairly new to this stuff, so i'm not really sure, but any help would be appreciated. thanks.

as long as both engines are 7m series the transmissions will work on either motor... the 7mgte rebuilt motor will go straight in assuming that your harness and ecu is a 7mgte

what is your car? 7mgte already?
