Also, make sure the bolts are torqued down. After heating and cooling the first few times on a new exhaust things tend to loosen up.

Oh but unfortunately my whole entire exhaust system has been chopped the shop up. So I no longer have any bolting brackets on the piping anywhere after the downpipe. Welding is my only option after that. Muffler shop tomorrow...see what the problem is.

my exhaust does the same thing when it is cold. but after it warms up it goes away. i did notice however when i had the pacesetter header put on it took the crackling noise almost completely away.

Oh really? Alright I know what to invest in next. Thanks it really helps to know I'm not the only one who had that exhaust noise.
