yeah i have seen it done before so i thought i would try it, it helps alot on the heat in the engine bay because the turbos r in the back and in my case it will help me get to a more even weight distribution.

Do you have a picture of it? I've heard about it but never seen a picture of it.

i think i've heard of them being placed somewhere at the tailpipes, but can you imagine the turbo lag due to the extremely long piping from the turbos to the intake?

Im not sure but it would make sense that if you put the wastegate as close to the engine as possible then you should have pressure built up to the point of the wastegate.

Here is and article on the rear mounted turbos. http://www.chevyhiperformance.com/te...48_0502_turbo/

Say bye to your engine if that filter hits water.

i actually seen a car with this mod , turbo lag is a problem so they put e-rams on the piping to speed up the air velocity from the back to the engine, spool time isnt really affected either,,, but they only did this because the car was only for the track ,,

if you are still planning to drive your car on regular streets, i dunt suggest this, unless you wanna buy a new turbo every two weeks, from all the rocks and debris thats gonna destroy it

This may be off-subject but has anyone ever dealt with Pro Racing Sim software? Especially Dyno Sim Advanced? i Built a single turbo 427 stroker motor and it showed that i could get 743 hp @ 5000 rpm and 802 ftlb @ 4500 rpm. That sounds pretty impresiive and supposedly these programs are within 10%. Also will the toyota trans stand up to that? Will the Rear-end?
(We are thinking of a local open road challenge / road race.) Not drag racing.

plz post reply. thanks!

Actually K&N has a filter that is water resistant and mud and all that. They also have a "sock" you can put over it that is easily taken off and washed.
