Default Brakes Rotors

Sup, well apparently I need new brakes, rotors and tires. I am just going to put on basic 4 season tires for now, since ill be upgrading rims later. But to install and purchase all 4 rotors, all 4 pads, and all 4 tires the mechanic is trying to say around $1,000. This seems a little pricey to me. Maybe I'm wrong. But I found on eBay '88Rotors' Cross-Drilled/Slotted Rotors front and back and pads for $249. Is that about right?

Any help here would be great, I'm chomppin at the bit to get this car back and start throwin in audio/security. And I do not know what size tires, grade, performance. All i know is they were 225s on there before. Stock rims. So i'm assuming hes jsut replacing.
TIA

Those rotors and Pads look like a good deal on ebay.
Be sure to bed them in....

If you brought in the parts to my shop, I would charge you $225 labor, because you didn't buy them from me, so I didn't make any $$ on the parts.
So if your guy charges $225 or less, its still a better deal, because those rotors are better than aftermarket stock ones.

Also...tires.... http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/home.do

Don't do what I did, if you ever want to go larger rims, do it when you get tires. I ended up getting 16" tires, then rims 6 months later, so I have 16".
It would have looked better with 17".
