Hi everyone =)
Just wanted to say hi as your newest member. I just purchased a 1986.5 T that is going to be almost FULLY built. Pistons, cams, valves, electronics, etc etc etc. I'm going to be doing all the assembly myself, I hope. One of my friends had a 91 years ago that was EXTREMLY fast, I think it ran low 10s so I look forward to having a fast car as well. I am going to be looking through the site for info and tips about what turbo/manifold will be best to suite my needs, as well as looking for threads about what others have done. I dont want to be the fastest on the forum, I just want to be fast =)
So I just wanted to say hi and if I ask a question or two that you guys know I would appreciate any help I could get. Well, I guess I can do that here right? 1. What are the best cams for my car without going with a custom grind for a specific engine build? What are my choices? 2. What piston, ring, and rods have some of you run in high boost applications that have performed well? 3. Can I get away with running PFC-FCON, VPC, and maybe a GCC from HKS or do I need to go with a stand alone engine management system? 4. Head gaskets... HKS or ARP? 5. Is 1mm oversized valves large enough for a turbo application or should I look for something bigger? 6. Anyone know someone who has a PFC-FCON, VPC, or GCC for sale for my supra? I dont want to load this one post down with too many questions. Thanks alot for your time in advance. Brett |

Thanks for the reply, but I read that and didn't really find any specific answers to my questions. Anyone have any opinions?

Yeah, crunch the numbers and do some solid research.
